Iran carries out 67 operations on US bases in 48 hours – Supreme Leader
Iran's Interim Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Alireza Arafi, disclosed that the country's forces conducted 67 operations against the United States in the past 48 hours. The Islamic Resistance in Iraq attacked six US bases across four countries and two Iraqi provinces, according to Arafi's X post. This surge follows escalating tensions from cross-border strikes, drone attacks, and retaliatory actions tied to the broader conflict between Iran, its allied militias, and U.S. and Israeli forces. Arafi, appointed as Iran's temporary Leadership Council following the death of former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei during a US airstrike, will serve alongside President Masoud Pezeshkian and the head of the judiciary until a permanent successor is selected.
