Iran warns US over troop deployments in Middle East
Iran's parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf warned the US on X that it is closely monitoring all troop deployments in the region. This follows reports that Washington plans to send 1,000 to 2,000 additional soldiers to the Middle East, adding to the 50,000 troops already stationed there. Approximately 4,500 marines are reportedly en route. Ghalibaf stated: 'We are closely monitoring all US movements... Do not question our resolve to defend our land.' The warning comes amid heightened tensions in the region.
