Israel, US strike Iran's Assembly of Experts building
Israel and the United States struck the Assembly of Experts building in Qom, Iran, on Tuesday. The assembly appoints, supervises and can dismiss Iran's supreme leader. Daily Post reported former leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed in earlier attacks. No casualties confirmed yet, but severe damage reported. Iran confirmed Khamenei's death Sunday and started transition with interim leadership council including president, judiciary head and Guardian Council jurist. Assembly of Experts building targeted in Qom, south of Tehran.
