JAMB releases 2026 UTME results for 632,788 candidates; check via SMS

JAMB has released the results for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME, held on Thursday, April 16, 2026. A total of 632,788 candidates can now access their scores by sending “UTMERESULT” via SMS to 55019 or 66019, using the phone number registered for the exam. The Board said result slip printing will be available later, and candidates should view their scores only through the official channel for now.

This release matters to every candidate awaiting university or polytechnic admission, as well as parents and schools tracking performance. JAMB warned that manipulating the SMS to fabricate or alter scores is a criminal offence, and enforcement is already underway—two candidates and one parent are in custody for result falsification using AI and other electronic means.

Candidates should check their results promptly via the SMS codes, avoid any attempt to tamper with the message, and note that official printable slips will be released at a later date.
