JAMB spokesperson Fabian Benjamin announced that the 2026 UTME results dropped on Friday night, with over 2.2 million candidates who sat the exam now able to check their scores. The board also said an earlier batch of 632,788 results had already been released.

To check your result, send “UTME RESULT” or “UTMERESULT” in capital letters to either 55019 or 66019. The SMS must come from the exact phone number you used during registration—not a similar or close number. Your line needs at least ₦50 airtime for the message to go through.

This process matters because your UTME score determines eligibility for university, polytechnic, and college of education admission nationwide. With millions competing for limited slots, knowing your result early lets you plan next steps, whether that’s preparing for post‑UTME screens, considering alternative institutions, or deciding on a gap year.

If the SMS fails, double‑check that you’re using the registered number and that you have sufficient airtime. You can also access your result via the JAMB portal once the site is back online, though the SMS channel remains the fastest option for most candidates.
