Japan has committed $36 billion for three US infrastructure projects as part of its $550 billion trade deal with President Trump. The investments include a massive natural gas facility in Ohio (9.2GW power), a Gulf of Mexico oil export hub ($20-30B annual revenue), and a synthetic diamond plant to reduce US reliance on China. Trump hailed it as a "MASSIVE AMERICA FIRST TRADE WIN" on Truth Social, while Japan's PM emphasized strengthening supply chains for economic security. The projects aim to rebuild US industries and create jobs, with Japan providing capital and the US gaining strategic assets. This follows Japan's July pledge to invest $550B through 2029 in exchange for reduced US tariffs on Japanese imports.
