Jarvis fired back at singer Ycee after he labelled her husband Peller’s online fame an ‘Olodo uprising’ during an Afropolitan podcast interview. Ycee argued that rewarding outrageous content encourages youths to prioritize clicks over education, saying, "We now have an Olodo uprising, and it is terrible… we also have the Peller culture. If we keep rewarding these guys, people will believe all they need to do is say or do something dumb, outrageous, or obscene online to get the clicks and numbers." He added that he bears no personal grudge against Peller. In her video response, Jarvis blamed the government’s failure to create jobs for pushing graduates like herself into content creation. She said, "government didn’t provide jobs for us, what exactly did you expect people to do? I’m a graduate. go and tell that to your president because you can’t expect individuals with high intelligence to end up cleaning toilets." She defended Peller’s culture, stating everyone has a culture and questioning why earning a living through humour is deemed anti‑education. The exchange highlights the tension between traditional education valorisation and digital entrepreneurship amid Nigeria’s job scarcity, prompting viewers to reflect on societal values and career choices.
