Nigerian rapper Jeriq has debunked the narrative that Igbo artists don't support each other. He described the claim as a 'fallacy', stating that many of his Igbo colleagues, such as Flavour and Phyno, have helped him in his career. Jeriq noted that Flavour has assisted several rising Igbo artists and has collaborated with him on his biggest song, 'Oluoma', without charging a fee. Jeriq believes that artists who perform predominantly in Igbo will one day sell out arenas in the Western world, just like Asake is doing with Yoruba. He cited his own collaborations with Phyno and Flavour as examples of Igbo artists supporting each other.
