🎒 Kaduna Schools Shut Abruptly as Bandit Threats Spike

Parents, students, and teachers in Kaduna State are reeling after public secondary and primary schools were suddenly closed over suspected bandit threats circulating in the region. Multiple school administrators confirmed that written warning letters from suspected criminal groups triggered the emergency shutdown, forcing schools to end the academic term much earlier than scheduled.

At some schools, including Federal Government College, Kaduna staffs were rushed into compressing exams and wrapping up lessons within days because of mounting fear among educators and pupils. Teachers described a chaotic situation where students were hurriedly sent home, and many expressed anxiety and uncertainty about when learning will resume.

Parents also voiced frustration over the lack of clear communication from authorities, saying the silence has fueled fear and confusion. Security experts note that when anonymous threat letters circulate in high-risk areas, schools often close as a precautionary measure to protect children’s lives.
