Kanu to Super Eagles: Beat Morocco no matter what they throw at you
Arsenal legend Nwankwo Kanu has urged the Super Eagles to beat Morocco in tonight's AFCON semi-final tie at Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium, set for January 14, 2026. Both teams enter the last-4 clash after winning their quarter-final fixtures against Algeria and Cameroon respectively.
Kanu, in a video post on his X account before the match, called on Nigerians to support Eric Chelle's side en masse. "It's all about the Super Eagles now, let's all come out to support them, encourage them and pray for them," Kanu said. "We wish them all the best. The boys are ready, and we are proud of them. They can go all the way to the finals."
The former Nigeria international emphasized the importance of the encounter, adding: "They can do it. Super Eagles players, give everything, you have been doing that from day one, and this is a very important one to be in the final. So no matter what they throw at you, what we need is to win, and we are going to win by God's grace. Make us proud by winning this game."
Will the Super Eagles deliver on Kanu's demand and secure their place in the AFCON final against the Atlas Lions on home soil?
