Keyamo orders Obi to pay ₦50k fine or lose vehicle over airport parking
Minister of Aviation Festus Keyamo has directed Labour Party presidential aspirant Peter Obi to pay a ₦50,000 fine or have his vehicle impounded for allegedly violating airport parking regulations. Keyamo issued the directive after Obi claimed, on the With Chude podcast, that his vehicle was clamped while others parked nearby were left untouched, suggesting harassment. The Presidency, through Tinubu’s spokesman Bayo Onanuga, rejected the harassment claim, insisting the incident resulted from a breach of parking rules and not political persecution. Obi, who defected to the Nigeria Democratic Congress in December 2025 and is its 2027 presidential candidate, has not yet responded to Keyamo’s demand.
