Politics Kwankwaso holds meeting with ADC leaders ahead of planned defection Published on March 27, 2026 By Vanessa Onah The 2023 presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, Rabiu Kwankwaso met with African Democratic Congress, ADC, National Secretary, Rauf Aregbesola on Thursday. It was gathered that his meeting comes as Kwankwaso finalizes discussions with the party’s leadership ahead of his planned defection to the opposition party. Following the meeting with Aregbesola, Kwankwaso also held talks with ADC leaders from Kano at his Abuja residence. DAILY POST recalls that this comes shortly after he hosted former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi and Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde on Sunday. Kwankwaso, in a post on his official Facebook page, also revealed that Senator Seriake Dickson, representing Bayelsa West Senatorial District, was among those who visited his Kano residence.
