Kwankwaso's party switch won't violate Electoral Act - NNPP
A chieftain of the NNPP, Magaji Mato, has assured that Rabiu Kwankwaso's potential defection to another party will not breach the Electoral Act 2026. Mato stated that if Kwankwaso leaves NNPP for another party, he must resign his current position first before re-registering. This process aligns with the Act's requirements, ensuring Kwankwaso's name won't appear on two party registers. NNPP is proactively addressing this scenario to meet all deadlines for the 2027 elections. The assurance comes amid reports that Kwankwaso and others might leave NNPP for another party.
