Labour Party adopts Chibuzo Okereke as 2027 presidential candidate
Labour Party, led by Nenadi Usman, has adopted Chibuzo Okereke as its presidential candidate for the 2027 election. National Publicity Secretary Ken Asogwa announced the consensus decision in Abuja Saturday, describing Okereke as a governance expert with PhD in Legislative Governance Studies and Master's in Public Administration.
The candidate serves as President of ERGAF-AFRICA Legislative Governance Innovation and Policy Hub, Legislative Consultant to National Assembly committees, and Resident Lecturer at Miva Open University, Abuja. His expertise in governance, public accountability and national development has made him a respected analyst on major media platforms.
Labour Party recently fixed N50m for presidential nomination forms and has set dates for primaries. With Nigeria preparing for 2027 elections, Okereke's emergence represents the party's push for competent, accountable leadership. How will his policy focus on youth empowerment and democratic reforms resonate with Nigerian voters?
