The Labour Party (LP) has postponed its scheduled ward, local government, state congresses, and national convention originally set for March 26, 28, 31, and April 11 respectively. The decision follows a stakeholders' meeting involving the Interim National Working Committee (NWC) and labour unions. The postponement aims to provide more time for the ongoing membership re-registration exercise. A 45-member Congress and Convention Committee has been inaugurated, chaired by Ginger Onwusibe, with other members including Salisu Mohammed, Obinna Aguocha, and others. National Chairman Nenadi Usman urged members to ensure thorough preparations for a seamless process. The party has appealed for understanding and will communicate a new timetable.
