Labour Party has rescheduled all 2027 election primaries from previously announced May 27 and 29 dates to Saturday, May 30, 2026. The decision affects primaries for President, Governor, Senate, House of Representatives, and State Houses of Assembly, which will now all hold simultaneously on the new date.

Party National Publicity Secretary Ken Eluma Asogwa explained the shift became necessary because the original dates coincided with significant national events. May 27 would clash with 2026 Eid el-Kabir celebration, while May 29 marks the third anniversary of elected officials' inauguration nationwide.

The party expressed regret for any inconvenience caused to aspirants, stakeholders, supporters, and the general public. This adjustment allows members to fully observe both the spiritual significance of Sallah celebration and the national importance of the May 29 anniversary.

With primaries now consolidated on May 30, how will this affect your campaign timeline preparation for Labour Party tickets?
