The Nenadi Usman-led Labour Party will hold its National Executive Council (NEC) meeting on June 11, 2026, to ratify results of nationwide primary elections conducted on May 30, 2026.

National Publicity Secretary Ken Asogwa announced that the NEC will also approve the list of candidates for submission to INEC ahead of the 2027 elections, in accordance with the Electoral Act and party constitution.

Successful candidates will receive Certificates of Return immediately after ratification for President, Governor, Senate, and House of Representatives positions. This NEC meeting marks the party's first formal session since its recent convention and is critical for mobilization efforts leading to the 2027 polls. The party has already announced Chibuzo Okereke, a governance expert and policy strategist, as its presidential candidate for the 2027 election.
