Lafarge Africa Plc reaffirmed its commitment to gender inclusion and sustainable development during its 2026 International Women's Day celebration themed 'The Give to Gain Blueprint: Investing in Women to Build Sustainable Impact.' Held at The Hall Events Centre, the event featured female professionals, industry leaders, and stakeholders for dialogue on economic inclusion and workplace equity. Key initiatives highlighted include the Green Women's Network, Female Tilers and Block Laying Training Programme, and Women on Wheels Programme designed to expand economic opportunities for women in construction. Speaking at the event, Communications Director Viola Graham-Douglas emphasized that investing in women drives innovation and operational excellence. Deputy Governor Noimot Salako-Oyedele shared insights on balancing professional and personal responsibilities, encouraging women to view setbacks as learning opportunities. Group MD Lolu Alade-Akinyemi stressed the need for tangible action beyond rhetoric, noting that empowering women strengthens leadership and sustainable progress. The event underscored Lafarge Africa's shift from celebration to purposeful action in advancing gender inclusion.
