Lafarge Africa Profit Surges 172.7% to N273.1B on Cement Demand
Lafarge Africa reported a 172.7% surge in net profit to N273.1 billion for 2025, driven by a 103% jump in operating profit and 37% margins. Revenue grew 52% to N1.1 trillion, fueled by Nigeria's housing deficit and construction demand. The company, now majority-owned by Huaxin Building Materials, plans to expand capacity to 14 mtpa at Ashaka and Sagamu plants. Finance income jumped 1,100% to N30.2 billion, while costs fell 74.5%. CEO Lolu Alade-Akinyemi credited disciplined execution of their 4-point strategy. The firm also declared a final dividend of N6 per share (N96.6B payout), up from N1.20 in 2024.
