Lasaco Appoints Ademoye Shobo as New CEO
Lasaco Assurance Plc has appointed Ademoye Shobo as its new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, effective February 6, 2026. The insurance company announced the appointment via a statement on the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) platform, signed by Secretary Gertrude Olutekunbi. The National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) approved the move, which the company believes will advance its strategic objectives and enhance operational and financial performance. Ademoye Shobo, a Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria Associate Member, holds a BSc in Chemistry from Lagos State University (1988) and an MBA from Nassarawa State University (2023). With 33 years at Lasaco Assurance Plc, he previously served as Deputy General Manager (Technical), General Manager (Marketing), and Executive Director (Technical) before joining the board in 2021. His career includes roles in audit, claims administration, underwriting, and regional marketing management.
