Legal expert says El-Rufai not responsible for NSA phone tapping
A legal practitioner, Festus Ogwuche, says former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, should not be held responsible for intercepting the telephone of the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu. Ogwuche, President of Campaign for Social Justice and Constitutional Democracy in Africa, stated this on Arise Television. He clarified that El-Rufai can only be culpable if he was an accessory or part of a conspiracy, noting reservations about El-Rufai's involvement. El-Rufai admitted listening to Ribadu's phone conversations after tapping his line. Ogwuche emphasized the investigation must be thorough to attract proper judicial scrutiny.
