Madugu selects 25-player squad for Super Falcons WAFCON title defence in Morocco

Super Falcons head coach Justine Madugu has named 25 players for the 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, targeting a record-extending 11th title. Captain Rasheedat Ajibade leads the squad alongside Asisat Oshoala, goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie, and defender Osinachi Ohale.

The squad features 24 players based abroad across England, USA, Italy, Mexico, Sweden, Turkey, Israel, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Canada, and China. Only Fatima Oloko of Abia Angels represents the domestic league. Nigeria is drawn in Group C with Malawi, Zambia, and Egypt for the tournament.

The team will begin final preparations in Morocco next week ahead of their opening fixture against Malawi at Al Madina Stadium, Rabat on Tuesday, July 28. This squad selection comes as the Super Falcons aim to defend their continental crown.
