Man Utd Profit Soars After Job Cuts, On Track for £640M+ Revenue
Manchester United's operating profit jumped to £32.6 million ($44 million) in the first half of the fiscal year, up from a £3.9 million loss last year, after cutting 450 jobs. The club's interim boss Michael Carrick's team is now fourth in the Premier League, and the women's team reached the Champions League quarter-finals, boosting confidence for future profits. United's total revenue fell to £190.3 million from £198.7 million due to missing European competitions, but they remain on track to hit £640-660 million for the full year. Chief executive Omar Berrada credits cost-cutting for the turnaround, stating the 'positive financial impact of our off-pitch transformation' is now materialising.
