Millwall winger Azeez aims to win AFCON with Super Eagles
Millwall winger Femi Azeez aims to win Africa Cup of Nations with Nigeria after making dream Super Eagles debut, scoring twice against Zimbabwe in Unity Cup semi-final Tuesday night.
The 24-year-old former Reading player revealed his ambitions after the 3-1 win over Kaitano Tembo's Warriors. "I want to score more goals, and have assists too. I would also like to create more chances for the team. I want to play at the AFCON, and win the competition," Azeez stated.
Azeez will hope to add to his tally when the three-time African champions face Jamaica in the Unity Cup final this Sunday. The Mill winger becomes the latest Nigerian-born European player to join the Super Eagles, following in footsteps of stars like Iwobi, Lookman, and Onuachu.
Will Azeez's debut performance earn him a regular spot in the Super Eagles squad for future tournaments?
