Hosts Morocco eliminated Nigeria 4-2 on penalties in a tense Africa Cup of Nations semi-final that ended 0-0 after extra time on Wednesday night at Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat. Goalkeeper Yassine Bounou was the hero, saving from Samuel Chukwueze and Bruno Onyemaechi, allowing Youssef En-Nesyri to convert the winning kick. Achraf Hakimi converted his penalty for Morocco while Stanley Nwabali saved Hamza Igamane's effort. Nigeria's Samuel Chukwueze reacted visibly after his miss. Morocco now face Senegal in Sunday's final after Senegal defeated Egypt 1-0 via Sadio Mane. This pits Africa's top two FIFA-ranked sides against each other. Morocco chase their first AFCON title in 50 years with home support behind them. For Nigeria, it's another painful semi-final exit two years after losing the final to Ivory Coast. The final kicks off Sunday at Rabat's Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium.
