Abiel Osorio and Fer Nino replied for Elche to level the score, and Carlos Espi netted a late winner to seal the win.
Mourinho said, "It’s obvious that there’s a problem. We have three, four, five chances to kill the game off, and we do not do it. Easy chances, and we do not take them. And then the game suddenly goes from easy to very hard. The bigger problem is that once they miss those chances, and they fail to kill off the game, they still play as if they killed off the game, and that everything is okay. It is not okay."
