MTN Group's acquisition of IHS Towers is valued at $2.2 billion, not the previously reported $6.2 billion. The $6.2 billion figure represents the enterprise value (EV) of IHS Towers, while MTN will pay $8.50 per share for the actual purchase. This clarification follows TechCabal's correction of an earlier newsletter error. The deal remains significant for Nigeria's digital infrastructure, with MTN gaining IHS's network assets to expand its services.
