NAHCON chairman Ismail Yusuf assured Nigerian pilgrims of improved Hajj operations and seamless return journey during the 2026 Hajj exercise. In an Arafat Day message, he described the day as the "pinnacle of Hajj" and a period of mercy, forgiveness, and submission to Allah.

The major announcement: NAHCON successfully renegotiated feeding services in Madinah, with resulting savings to be refunded directly to pilgrims. Yusuf noted Hajj operations have significantly improved from previous years when pilgrims spent long periods in transit camps, though more improvements are still needed.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubima and Vice President Kashim Shettima were commended for their support toward 2026 Hajj operations. The commission has completed outbound airlift and assured pilgrims of measures for a safe, swift return journey starting June 3.

Will these refunds compensate for your Hajj experience, or should the Commission focus improvements on other operational aspects for future pilgrims?
