Naira hits 2-year high vs USD at N1,335.96 official rate
The Naira strengthened to N1,335.96 per dollar on Tuesday, its highest level since October 2024, according to Central Bank data. This represents a N11.82 gain against the USD from Monday's rate. Simultaneously, the black market rate surged to N1,490, up N10 from Monday. The development follows sustained foreign reserves growth to $48.37 billion as of February 16. The Naira's appreciation marks a reversal from recent depreciation trends.
