NDC allows all aspirants with Expression of Interest forms to participate in primaries

Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) announced all aspirants who purchased Expression of Interest forms will participate in its nationwide primaries, following long deliberations by party leaders led by former governor Sam Egwu. Senator Seriake Dickson, the party's National Leader, made the announcement Thursday, citing time constraints and the large number of aspirants who showed interest. This marks a shift to a more inclusive approach where only successful candidates after the primaries will need to proceed to party secretariat for documentation and nomination form payment. The party has deployed teams across states to conduct manual direct primaries - with Dickson stating this will be the last manual exercise before transitioning to electronic systems. The NDC urged teams to ensure fair processes and zero tolerance for violence during the primaries.
