NDC announces only successful aspirants in their May 28-29 primaries will pay nomination fees and complete documentation. This means all who purchased Expression of Interest Forms can participate without additional upfront costs. The decision came from a joint meeting between NDC national chairman Cleopas Moses, presidential aspirant Peter Obi, and party leadership. State assembly primaries will be held at constituency levels, while House of Representatives, Senate, Governorship, and Presidential primaries will occur at local government headquarters across Nigeria. An appeal panel has been established to address complaints. With primaries happening today and tomorrow, aspirants should use their Expression of Interest forms to participate immediately. Is this approach better than requiring all aspirants to pay upfront, or does it create opportunities for unserious candidates?
