NECO, NOUN Partner to Combat Certificate Fraud via CBT Expansion
NECO and NOUN announce partnership to combat certificate fraud and expand computer-based testing (CBT) in Nigeria. The collaboration integrates NECO's e-Verify platform into NOUN's admission process, enabling electronic result authentication and curbing forgery. Prior to this, result verification was manual, taking months. NECO has verified nearly five million results electronically and aims to fully migrate from paper-based exams to CBT, aligning with federal education policy. NOUN admits 40,000 students annually and will integrate the system from the 2026/1 admission cycle, supported by NOUN's nationwide study centers and ICT facilities. Both institutions expect the partnership to reinforce examination integrity and strengthen Nigeria's education system.
