Nestle Nigeria returns to profit after ₦166.8bn turnaround
Nestle Nigeria Plc reversed a ₦221.5bn loss to post ₦166.8bn Profit Before Tax (PBT) in 2025, its first full-year profit since 2024. Revenue surged 26% to ₦1.2 trillion from ₦958.8bn, driven by food segment growth (N784bn) and reduced finance costs. Gross profit jumped to ₦435.89bn from ₦306.35bn, while finance income rose sharply to ₦42.43bn from ₦3.37bn. Total assets fell 1.5% to ₦846.16bn, but equity turned positive at ₦12.89bn from negative ₦92.29bn. CEO Wassim Elhusseini credits Naira stability and operational efficiency for the turnaround.
