Netanyahu: Hezbollah dragged Lebanon into Israel-Iran war
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated on Tuesday that Hezbollah's actions have drawn Lebanon into the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran. Speaking at the Palmachim Airbase, Netanyahu praised Israeli forces for their operations since 'Operation Roaring Lion' began, emphasizing their role in protecting Israeli citizens while targeting Iranian 'murderers and their dispatchers'. Netanyahu declared the aerial assault in Iran is proceeding 'with great force' and has expanded to Lebanon due to Hezbollah's recent activities. 'Hezbollah made a very grave mistake when it attacked us,' Netanyahu said, warning Lebanon that Hezbollah is 'dragging them into a war that is not theirs'. He advised Lebanese nationals to 'look out for themselves' as Israel continues its defense operations. The conflict marks the fifth day of 'Operation Roaring Lion', with Secretary of State Marco Rubio defending the timing of the strikes against Iran, stating the mission aims to destroy Iran's missile program, factories, navy, and terrorism capabilities. The Pentagon identified four American service members killed in the conflict: Capt. Cody Khork, Sgt. Declan Coady, Sgt. 1st Class Nicole Amor, and Sgt. 1st Class Noah Tietjens.
