Four companies listed on the Nigerian Exchange have announced dividend qualification dates between September and October 2026, giving eligible shareholders a chance to receive payouts before year‑end. The qualification date determines who is recorded on a company’s share register and thus entitled to the declared dividend.

Red Star Express Plc leads with a qualification date of 1 September 2026, proposing N0.45 per share; payment expected 18 September. Learn Africa Plc follows on 11 September with N0.35 per share (payment 25 September). Academy Press Plc qualifies on 16 September at N0.10 per share (payment 25 September). PZ Cussons Nigeria Plc has the latest date, 9 October, offering the largest payout of N2.50 per share; payment slated for 30 October.

PZ Cussons’ dividend is backed by a sharp turnaround: profit after tax jumped 348.71% to N45.17 billion for the year ended May 2026, revenue rose 22.49% to N260.46 billion, and retained earnings swung from a deficit to N4.39 billion. The other firms showed mixed results—Learn Africa posted profit growth, while Academy Press and Red Star Express saw modest earnings changes.

To receive these dividends, ensure your name appears on the respective company’s register by the qualification date. If you do not hold shares, consider purchasing before the date, but weigh each company’s recent financial performance and payout sustainability.
