NGX Launches WhatsApp Subscription Channel for Nigeria’s IPO Access

NGX Group has launched a WhatsApp subscription channel for its NGX Invest platform, enabling investors to apply for Initial Public Offerings, public offers and rights issues by sending the word "Invest" to the official number +234 812 731 9521 and following the prompts. Users select a stockbroker through whom the application is processed, keeping brokers integral to the workflow while avoiding a separate app download.

The initiative aims to widen access to Nigeria’s capital market, especially as retail interest grows. NGX Invest, the Exchange’s SEC‑approved e‑offering system, has already facilitated more than 23 primary‑market transactions since 2 and raised over ₦3 trillion. The timing coincides with active IPOs: the Dangote Petroleum Refinery offering opened on September 14 and closes October 13, 2026, with OPay pursuing a listing and Dangote Industries’ fertiliser unit eyeing an IPO in 2028.
