Nigeria Maintains ₦1.71 Trillion Trade Surplus in Q4 2025
Nigeria sustained a merchandise trade surplus of ₦1.71 trillion in Q4 2025, despite a 1.07% decline in total trade to ₦36.21 trillion from Q4 2024. Exports fell 5.25% to ₦18.96 trillion, driven by reduced crude oil shipments, which accounted for 51.17% of exports at ₦9.70 trillion. Imports dropped 8.94% to ₦17.25 trillion, with manufactured goods dominating at 51.03% of imports. The surplus reflects weaker export activity but stable import demand.
