Nigeria's Oil Output Surges to 1.74m bpd in June, Beats OPEC Quota 4th Month
Nigeria's crude oil and condensate production jumped to 1,735,398 barrels per day in June 2026, hitting 104% of OPEC's 1.5 million bpd quota for the fourth straight month. Crude oil alone reached 1.56 million bpd with condensates adding 180,000 bpd, according to NUPRC data released Sunday.
This marks Africa's biggest oil producer's highest output since April 2020—a 74-month high. Production has climbed steadily from 1.483 million bpd in February to 1.735 million in June, with month-on-month growth of 2.2%.
