Nigeria's Onuachu wins Turkish Süper Lig Goal of Season award

According to DAILY POST, Paul Onuachu has been named winner of Turkish Süper Lig Goal of the Season award for his spectacular scissor-kick finish against Fatih Karagümrük in September 2025. The 32-year-old Nigerian striker's acrobatic goal received the highest number of votes from fans in the annual poll.

Onuachu, who plays for Trabzonspor, previously won the September Goal of Month award for the same strike. In the full season, he scored 26 goals and provided two assists in 43 appearances across all competitions for the Black Sea Storm.

Fenerbahçe's Marco Asensio finished second while Beşiktaş' Orkun Kökçü came third in the fan-voted award. Transfer news suggests Trabzonspor are valuing the Nigerian striker at €15 million.

This international recognition adds to Onuachu's impressive career trajectory, making him one of Nigeria's most successful exports to European football.
