Okechi made the call on Thursday while reacting to the ruling by the Supreme Court nullifying the Ibadan convention. The convention, which produced former governor of Jigawa, Tanimu Turaki, was organised by Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State. googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1524595905268-5'); }); He described the Supreme Court verdict as “no victor, no vanquished” and called on every PDP member in the state to come back to rebuild the party’s structures. “There is no winner and no loser; we are all one family and there is no victor, no vanquished. “I am calling on PDP family to unite; let’s move the party forward,” Okechi said. On the possibility of PDP fielding candidates and winning elections in 2027, he said all the party’s aspirants are ready and would be unveiled as soon as possible. “We have our aspirants and we are already meeting as I speak; so, we are ready for everything and, hopefully PDP will bounce back in Enugu State.” Okechi enjoined supporters of the party not to lose sleep and to keep supporting PDP ahead of future elections in the state.
