Nollywood Actor Patrick Doyle Loses Newborn Daughter a Day After Birth

Veteran Nollywood actor Patrick Doyle has announced the heartbreaking loss of his newborn daughter, Omayinuwa Harriet. The baby passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at approximately 4:15 p.m., just one day after her birth.

Doyle shared the news on his Facebook page, revealing Omayinuwa was born on Friday, April 10, 2026, at 10:40 a.m. and had been in good health at the time of birth along with her mother, Doyle's third wife Funmilayo.

'Her stay was short but it brought great joy with it. We would have wished for a longer stay, but alas, heaven thought otherwise,' Doyle wrote in his emotional post. 'Our faith in the goodness of God remains resolute regardless.'

The acclaimed actor, known for his roles in popular Nigerian films, had earlier announced the birth with joy, expressing gratitude for the safe arrival of his daughter. This tragic loss comes as Doyle navigates personal matters following his previous divorce from actress Ireti Doyle.
