North-Central APC endorses Yari as Tinubu's 2027 campaign DG, pledges 6M votes
North-Central APC Forum has thrown its weight behind Senator Abdulaziz Yari as Director General of Bola Tinubu's Presidential Campaign Council for the 2027 election. The Forum, led by Chairman Alhaji Saleh Zazzaga, expressed confidence in Yari's ability to deliver victory for Tinubu and the APC, citing his broad acceptance across northern states and track record as a progressive rallying point.
The endorsement also covers two other North-Central appointments to the Campaign Council: James Abiodun Faleke as Deputy Director General for Election Planning, Coordination and Monitoring, and Comrade Okpokwu Ogenyi as Zonal Secretary for Support Group Coordination. Forum members highlighted Faleke's role in Tinubu's 2023 campaign and Ogenyi's work with Yari in The Renewed Hope Network (TRN), Yari's grassroots group promoting the President's Renewed Hope Agenda.
Senator Yari, who currently represents Zamfara West in the Senate and served as Zamfara governor from 2011-2015, is a founding APC member and former Nigeria Governors' Forum chairman. The North-Central APC Forum pledged to work with Ogenyi to deliver six million votes for Tinubu from the region in 2027, urging all party supporters to back the Presidential Campaign Council's efforts. They noted Yari's appointment wasn't surprising given his existing mobilization work for Tinubu's re-election.
