The Nigerian Railway Corporation has increased Lagos-Ibadan train services ahead of Sallah, with six trips operating Tuesday, May 26 instead of the regular four. Departures from Lagos will be at 7:45 a.m., 1:40 p.m., and 4:00 p.m., while Ibadan-bound trains leave at 8:00 a.m., 10:50 a.m., and 4:30 p.m.

Thursday services have been temporarily reduced from six to four trips on May 28, with normal schedules resuming after the festive period. The adjustment aims to manage anticipated passenger traffic as Nigerians travel for Sallah celebrations.

According to NRC Chief Public Relations Officer Mr. Callistus Unyimadu, this temporary increase addresses the surge in travelers commuting between Lagos and Ibadan for the holiday. With multiple departure times now available, travelers have more options to plan their journey around family gatherings.

Will you take advantage of the increased train services this Sallah, or stick to other transportation methods despite the convenience?
