NRS launches Rev360 tax platform April 30 to streamline Nigeria's tax system
Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS) announced the upcoming launch of Rev360, its next-generation tax administration platform, scheduled to go live on April 30, 2026. The platform represents Tax Administration 3.0, promising faster processing, improved decision-making, enhanced compliance, and a more seamless user experience for taxpayers nationwide.
This launch is part of Nigeria's broader tax reform effective January 1, 2026, which included renaming the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) to NRS. Rev360 will begin with a phased rollout starting with Medium and Emerging Taxpayers, following a successful pilot. The NRS emphasized that comprehensive communication, training, and stakeholder engagement initiatives will precede the full launch to ensure readiness.
The platform aims to simplify Nigeria's tax system, improve compliance rates, and increase government revenue through end-to-end automation and real-time reporting capabilities. Taxpayers can expect more options in their interactions with the tax service as the NRS aligns with global best practices in tax administration.
Will this new digital tax platform actually simplify your tax filing experience, or will it create another layer of complexity in Nigeria's tax system?
