The Obidient Movement has urged NDC members to ensure Peter Obi emerges as the party's presidential candidate in today's primary election. National Coordinator Yunusa Tanko called for unity, discipline, and focus among party members to achieve their collective objective of putting Obi on the 2027 general election ballot.

Tanko emphasized that their mission is to 'rescue Nigeria through people-oriented leadership built on character, competence, capacity, commitment, and compassion.' He warned against letting individual ambitions derail this collective resolve, anticipating setbacks from competing political interests.

The movement discouraged court litigation over any primary outcomes, noting that political opponents are watching for internal crises. Tanko stressed that after today's primaries, the focus must shift to 'closing ranks and working together to achieve our collective mission of securing victory in the 2027 presidential elections.'
