At the Nigerian Army’s 35 Artillery Brigade in Abeokuta, the police and military authorities reviewed existing security arrangements and explored ways to enhance joint patrols and rapid response to threats. Similarly, at the DSS office, emphasis was placed on strengthening intelligence gathering and early response strategies to prevent security breaches. It was further noted that engagements with the Nigeria Immigration Service centred on border security, including efforts to curb illegal migration, smuggling and cross-border crimes. At the NSCDC command, discussions focused on the protection of critical infrastructure and improved coordination during emergencies and public disturbances. Ojajuni noted that effective policing requires strong collaboration among security agencies. “Synergy among security agencies remains critical to maintaining peace and security,” he said.
