Okocha says cannot compare himself with Ronaldinho

Austin 'Jay-Jay' Okocha says it is difficult to compare him with Brazilian legend Ronaldinho, though he admitted Ronaldinho is the most skilful player he ever played alongside. The former Super Eagles captain made the comments in an interview with Clutch 9, responding to Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta's recent remarks about not being able to decide who was more skilful between the two players.

Okocha said: 'I can't say that anybody is better than me since I've accepted the title of chief flair officer. He [Ronaldinho] was a genius when it comes to football. Straight away we saw his talent.' The former Paris Saint-Germain midfielder explained that both players shared similar foundations, having learned football on the streets, playing with love and smiles on their faces.

While acknowledging they both had successful careers, Okocha noted that Ronaldinho 'took it higher.' Arteta played with both legends during his time at PSG in the early 2000s and recently sparked the comparison when discussing skilful players he had played with.
