Okonkwo's Super Eagles switch not finalised – NFF

Wrexham goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo's switch to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is not yet finalised, according to NFF's Head of International Competitions Dayo Enebi Achor. The 24-year-old, born in London to Nigerian parents, had previously represented England at youth levels but indicated interest in playing for the Super Eagles. Reports suggested FIFA approval in December 2025, and he was rumored for the four-nation tournament in Amman, Jordan. However, Enebi confirmed the process remains ongoing and incomplete. This creates uncertainty for Nigeria's squad ahead of the Jordan event.
