Oliseh predicts Senegal victory over Egypt in AFCON semi-final
Former Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh has predicted Senegal will defeat Egypt in their AFCON semi-final clash on Wednesday evening. The Teranga Lions beat Mali in the quarter-final while the Pharaohs overcame host nation Ivory Coast to reach this stage. Oliseh, speaking on the Global Football Insights podcast, explained his reasoning: "Senegal is coming with the mind that we are better than you, we have beaten you in the past. Egypt is coming with revenge from the past after losing the AFCON final to Senegal." He added that while it's difficult to say who will win, he is "leaning a bit towards Senegal because they have this belief that they can overcome." The two teams previously met in the AFCON final where Senegal emerged victorious.
