Oliseh snubs Nigeria, names Morocco Africa's most tactical team
Former Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh has named Morocco the most tactical team in Africa right now, snubbing Nigeria ahead of their 2025 AFCON semi-final clash on Wednesday. Speaking on the Global Football Insights podcast, Oliseh said: "This is the most tactical team in Africa at the moment, for sure. We are not just playing a team that is as solid as us, we are meeting a team that is almost as good as we are." Morocco reached the semi-finals after beating Cameroon 2-0, while Nigeria defeated Algeria by the same scoreline. The Atlas Lions have been impressive throughout the tournament, with their tactical discipline standing out. Oliseh's comments come despite his history with the Super Eagles, having coached Nigeria to the 2014 World Cup. Both teams are in strong form, setting up a tightly contested semi-final. The match will test whether Nigeria's attacking prowess can break down Morocco's organised defence. With both nations eyeing a spot in the final, the tactical battle between the coaches will be crucial. Which team can impose their game plan and advance to the AFCON 2025 final?
